Dr. Don Hoxworth & Beverly Hoxworth

Association President & Vice President

Dr. Don Hoxworth and his wife, Beverly, have been in full-time ministry since 1981.

Dr. Hoxworth has enjoyed 73 years of ministry, beginning his preaching and music ministry at the age of 9 with his  family group, The Hoxworths Revival Team.  Members of that team included his father, Rev. R.C. Hoxworth,  grandmother Sybil Hoxworth, brother Richard and sister Barbara.  They also traveled and ministered with Rev. & Mrs. Hall and their daughter Linda.

When Don married Beverly in 1955,  he joined her family group, The Singing Nixons, and continued preaching and singing with them until 1978 when her brother, Bob Nixon, moved to Heaven.

The Singing Nixons were well-known in The Heartland and found the favor of God everywhere they ministered.

In 1981, Don and Beverly formed a new group, Hoxworth & Co., and continued sharing their musical gifts in church services and concerts.

During their pastoral years, Bev was a vocal coach, she held career development seminars, and was Minister over Praise and Worship and Women’s Ministries.  After 17 years of pastoring, Don and Bev resigned in 2010 and are currently ministering with Hoxworth & Co.

At the 2017 IAMM Convention, Dr. Elmer Masters, the Chaplain of the International Association of Music Ministries, honored Pastor Don with a Doctorate Degree of Pastoral Psychology.

Dr. Hoxworth’s vision for ministry extends far beyond the limits of pastoring a church or singing in a Southern Gospel music group.  He has a heart for all genres of Christian music and for those who promote the Gospel of Jesus Christ through music.  He offers himself as a friend, counselor and pastor to each and every member of I.A.M.M.  Don and Bev are committed to help and encourage and these dedicated Music Ministers.

Their family, Pastor Scott and Marsha Hoxworth, Wayne and Carla Wade, five grandchildren and great-grandson are a source of tremendous love and support for Don and Beverly as they continue go to about the Father’s business.
